Borger Cranes, an Australian supplier of cranes, operators and riggers, has entered into a partnership with Active Crane Hire, effective 1 September. The collaboration will merge the broad range of services offered by each company, including lifting, handling and specialized transport, making them available from a single source.

It will also, according to Active Crane Hire, open the door to extensive resource sharing and boost the overall level of expertise, with nearly 300 individuals making up the new team.

“This alliance and partnership will tick all the boxes. Borger with their strong experience and legacy in the mobile crane industry and ACH with their expertise in the tower crane and self erecting crane rental market complement each other perfectly,” remarked Active Crane Hire managing director Hermann Buchberger.

“Both companies are family owned, hands-on and share similar values. These similarities will help to maintain each other’s Identity. With a strong focus on quality, safety and second to none customer support and backup, it is a win for all parties involved.”

Active Crane hire stated that the partnership will give it greater access to new and important markets. Moreover, Borger is set to begin providing new materials handling solutions to large and complex infrastructure projects.

A fixture in Australia’s residential construction market, Active Crane Hire offers more than 160 cranes, as well as a number of crane-related services. It specializes in remote controlled Potain self-erecting cranes.

Borger was established in 1980 and has since become a leading supplier of mobile cranes throughout Australia. Its crane fleet is able to accommodate a wide range of lifting applications, from 3 tons to 500 tons.
