Ditch Witch is an American designer and manufacturer of equipment for the underground construction industry. Ditch Witch produces a broad range of machinery including directional drills, vacuum excavators, trenchers and mini skid steers. It is a subsidiary of Charles Machine Works, which was acquired by The Toro Company in February 2019.
Ditch Witch is headquartered in Perry, Oklahoma, and has been building subterranean construction equipment since 1949.
The company explains the meaning of its motto—“We bleed orange”—on its website:
“It has something to do with the signature color of our equipment, of course. But mostly it's about what's inside our machines and, especially, what's inside the people who build them….
“We bleed orange because the majority of our employees past and present have brought to their jobs the grit, work ethic and pride of ownership that come from growing up in rural America. And we bleed orange because our employees don't just work at the factory—they own it, along with the family that founded it.”
Ditch Witch offers nine directional drills, four of which are also available in all terrain models. Its line of vacuum excavators includes eleven hydro excavator models and two air excavators, as well as accessories.
Ditch With divides its trenchers into six categories: walk behind, ride-on, quad, micro, track and vibratory plows. The whole fleet features 26 models.
The company also offers nine mini skid steers.
Ditch Witch maintains an extensive dealer network spanning more than 100 countries, with 175 service and support centers worldwide.
