Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, or FUSO for short, is a Japan-based manufacturer of trucks, buses, vans and industrial engines. “The FUSO brand is known for its trusted quality, economic efficiency, solid & functional design and committed services,” the company website states. “FUSO is the leading Japanese brand across many markets, known for its track record of technological innovations and high customer satisfaction based on the lowest total cost of ownership.”
FUSO produced its first vehicle in 1932: a large size gasoline engine bus. In 1941 it introduced its first diesel truck, and by 1955 it had built Japan’s first genuine heavy duty truck, the T33 8-ton. The next few decades saw the company produce light duty cab-over trucks, long-distance tour buses, heavy duty low bed trucks, light duty hybrid trucks and heavy duty route buses.
FUSO’s modern fleet includes six heavy duty trucks, four medium duty trucks and three light duty trucks, as well as several models of buses and vans. It also offers an extensive range of genuine parts and services, with a sprawling network of service centers located in over 160 countries.
FUSO maintains production and testing facilities throughout Japan, with outposts in India and Portugal. Official FUSO dealers can be found in North America, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and Europe.
