Mustang is an American manufacturer of equipment for construction, agriculture and landscaping. A subsidiary of Manitou Americas, Inc. (formerly known as Gehl Company), Mustang specializes in the manufacture of skid steer loaders, track loaders, articulated loaders and excavators.
“Mustang offers one of the broadest lines of compact equipment available on the market today,” the company writes on its website. “With a world-wide distribution network providing high-quality sales, service, and rental, the Mustang brand has the equipment and service to keep your operation on track.”
Previously known as Owatonna Manufacturing Company, Mustang came to prominence in 1965, when it began designing and producing skid steers. It currently maintains two manufacturing plants in Madison and Yankton, South Dakota, and an advanced Research and Design facility in Wisconsin. The company states:
“In order to ensure that each piece of Mustang equipment is made with precision, the highly-trained manufacturing staff works with hydraulic brakes, folders, robotic welders and laser cutters. This state-of-the-art technology promotes consistency and accuracy.
“Before any machine leaves the facility, it must pass a rigorous Pre-Delivery Inspection, or PDI. This is to ensure that when you receive your equipment from a trusted Mustang dealer, it is ready to go to work.”
Mustang offers seven radial skid steer models, and three vertical models. Each skid steer features an updated operator station complete with an integrated digital display, new load arm design and enhanced visibility.
Rounding out its product line are eight excavator models, eight track loader models, two articulated loaders and dozens of attachments.
