Takeuchi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based manufacturer of heavy construction equipment. It produces a selection of excavators, track loaders, wheel loaders, skid steers and a variety of parts and attachments. It also provides services and support.
Takeuchi was founded in 1963 and has since become a household name in the construction industry. It is currently the second-largest supplier of compact excavators in Europe and the fifth-largest in North America. According to the company’s website:

In 1971, Takeuchi produced the world’s first compact excavator. Today it offers 20 different excavator models, including mini, compact and mid-size, as well as standard, zero swing and short tail swing excavators.
The company offers five track loader models, three wheel loaders models, and two skid steer models. It also produces separate buckets and thumbs for excavators, and a variety of loader attachments including buckets, dozer blades, pallet forks and trenchers.
Takeuchi has subsidiaries in the United States, England, France and China. The company states that “Today, these subsidiaries are the foundation for a powerful worldwide network of distributors that perform efficient sales activities and provide speedy services.”
