The Toro Company is an American company that manufactures a wide variety of equipment and solutions for the following sectors: turf maintenance, snow and ice management, landscaping, professional contracting, specialty construction, agricultural, and irrigation. It was founded in 1914 and is based in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Toro’s many products include lawn mowers, snow blowers, yard tools, sprinklers, utility vehicles, sprayers, rotors, valves, sensors and remotes, plows, trenchers and horizontal directional drills.
Toro produces an impressive range of mowers, including riding mowers, golf-specific mowers (greens, fairways and rough), reel mowers and rotary mowers.
Toro employs more than 6,000 full time workers and maintains a vast network of distributors, dealers and retailers with a footprint in over 125 countries. The company’s products are used at a number of world famous sites and events including Wimbledon, Carnoustie Golf Links, Torrey Pines Golf Course, Pinehurst Resort, Château de Versailles, Real Madrid football club and Walt Disney World Resort.

In 2017, Toro won the WaterSense Excellence Award, given out by the US Environmental Protection Agency. The award recognized Toro’s “efforts in outdoor water efficiency education and outreach.”
Toro markets and sells its products under several different brand names including Boss Snowplow, Dingo, Irritrol Systems, eXmark, Hayter, Lawn-Boy, Pope and Unique Lighting.
