Doosan’s new DX350LC-7 Stage V crawler excavator has been officially released. The innovative machine comes complete with a number of new features designed to increase productivity, lower the cost of ownership, and enhance reliability and safety.
Said features include an 8-inch touch-enabled colour LCD gauge panel; a new high quality seat; simplified power modes (four instead of eight); optional ultrasonic obstacle detection; optional LED lighting; optional side protection; a stereo system integrated in the gauge panel; and 360 degree cameras.
“The DX350LC-7 model features a new generation engine to meet the latest Stage V engine emission regulations,” Doosan states on its website. “It is a new solution without exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) to increase the quantity of air during combustion—the temperature during combustion is therefore higher and the amount of emission particles are reduced as much as possible. Thanks to the new technology, the diesel particle filter (DPF) requires really low maintenance.”
Furthermore, Doosan’s Smart Power Control system reduces engine speed and automatically alters pump torque depending on working conditions; it also modifies engine power and hydraulic output to enhance efficiency and cut back on emissions.
The DX350LC-7 Stage V crawler excavator has a weight of 36 tonnes, bucket capacity of 2.0m3, and a speed range between 3.5-5.7 km/h. It’s powered by a 290hp Doosan DL08 Stage V engine, with a digging reach of 10980mm, digging depth of 7540mm and digging height of 10325mm.
Regarding the DL08 engine, Doosan writes:
“Designed to deliver superior performance and fuel efficiency, the Doosan DL08V diesel engine fully meets latest stage V emission regulations. To optimise machine performance, the engine uses high-pressure fuel injectors, air-to-air inter-cooler and electronic engine controls. 4-Cycle Water-Cooled, Variable Geometry Turbocharged, Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) & Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).”
